While often dismissed as simple slice-of-life or mature entertainment, these narratives utilize the trope of the "hidden curriculum" to explore complex dynamics of intimacy, social taboo, and the transition from adolescence to adulthood. By analyzing the protagonist archetype, the setting as a character, and the subversion of educational norms, this paper argues that "Secret Class" manga functions as a modern fantasy of domesticity and forbidden knowledge, reflecting societal anxieties regarding age gaps, authority, and sexual awakening.

Mina represents the "girl next door" with a mischievous streak, while Sun-Hwa is the quiet, submissive type hiding a volcano of passion.
