Following the massive success of The Mummy (1999), this sequel doubles down on spectacle, mythology, and family drama. Brendan Fraser returns as swashbuckling adventurer Rick O’Connell, now married to Evelyn (Rachel Weisz), and they have a young son, Alex (Freddie Boath), who accidentally awakens the Scorpion King (Dwayne Johnson in his film debut).
