Now the size of ants, the four kids must navigate the dangerously oversized terrain of their own backyard. A falling lawnmower blade becomes a lethal guillotine; a spilled Cheerio becomes a lifesaving snack; and an ordinary garden sprinkler turns into a raging flood. Meanwhile, Wayne, unaware of the miniaturization, accidentally throws the "empty" trash bag containing the kids into the curb. The rest of the film follows their epic journey back into the house to get their father’s attention before they are permanently lost—or eaten by a scorpion.
