From a gameplay perspective, Infinity Moment was ambitious for the aging PSP hardware. It attempted to simulate an "artificial" MMORPG experience, complete with AI-controlled teammates who send messages, request parties, and react to the player's actions in combat. The real-time battle system emphasized the "Switch" mechanic, a core strategy from the anime that requires timing and coordination with partners. While the graphics and frame rates pushed the PSP to its limits, the mechanical complexity offered a satisfying loop of floor-clearing, boss raiding, and gear progression that mirrored the life-or-death struggle of the protagonists.
