جب بھی آسمانی کتابوں کا ذکر ہوتا ہے، ایک نام جو مسلمانوں کے لیے خصوصی اہمیت رکھتا ہے وہ ہے ۔ توریت (Torah) بنی اسرائیل پر نازل ہونے والی وہ مقدس کتاب ہے جو حضرت موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو عطا کی گئی۔ اگرچہ یہ دراصل یہودیوں کا بنیادی مذہبی متن ہے، لیکن ایک مسلمان کے عقیدے کے مطابق، یہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے نازل کردہ ایک حقیقی آسمانی کتاب تھی۔

The word "Tawrat" comes from the Hebrew Torah , meaning "teaching" or "law." In Islamic belief, Allah revealed the Tawrat to Prophet Musa (علیہ السلام) on (known in Urdu as Koh-e-Toor – کوہ طور). It was a direct, unaltered word of God, containing light, guidance, and mercy for the Children of Israel (Bani Israel).
