Kashyap and co-writer Zeishan Quadri (who also acts in the film) infuse the screenplay with a biting, local wit. The characters trade insults as fluidly as they trade bullets. There is a sublimely ridiculous scene where a gangster discusses the quality of prison food while casually detailing a murder. This juxtaposition of the mundane and the macabre gives the film its pulse.
