Julie 2 , directed by Deepak Shivdasani, is a sequel to the 2004 film Julie . It serves as the Bollywood debut for and follows the journey of a simple girl who rises to become a major film star, only to be confronted by the "dark side" of the industry.

The film follows the journey of (Raai Laxmi), an aspiring actress who rises to stardom while navigating the dark underbelly of the film industry. The story is told through flashbacks as ACP Dev Dutt (Aditya Srivastava) investigates a shooting at a jewelry store that leaves Julie in critical condition.
