The external assembly typically consists of the following key parts for installation and basic maintenance: Helm Pump Unit : The main axial piston pump body. Steering Shaft : A standard 3/4" tapered marine-grade aluminum shaft. Shaft Seal : A field-replaceable front seal. Filler Plug : Located at the top of the helm; available in (for single-station) or non-vented (for lower-station in multi-helm setups) versions.
