The premise was disarmingly simple. Two strangers meet, find themselves in a stranger’s life, and must choose whether to return. But from the first read-through, it became clear the “swap” wasn’t only physical. Memory, manner, a taste for coffee at midnight—those transferred too, in tiny, destabilizing edits. The world in the script reacted like a hall of funhouse mirrors where each reflection carried the faintest echo of a different life.
The film’s climax delivers on the "inception" promise. One character plants an idea into another’s subconscious—not through dialogue, but through a sexual act that only happens in the third layer of the dream.
